More sponging off a certain other blog
Yet again, A Snail's Eye View has a nice post, this time on Helicarionid 'semi-slugs' and I'm just posting a picture of mine and handing you over to Snail for the info.
This one was spotted in the Myall Lakes region of the NSW mid-north coast.
Little known and/or possibly useless fact: There's at least one species of Helicarion (from Tasmania) that has coloured mucus. The slime's bright red. Does it taste bad? I dunno. Anyone game to try it?
